Flexibility training has never been more needed. Here’s why.

  • Our modern lifestyles are making us stiff. We spend four hours a day hunched over our phones, six hours a day on the computer, and an hour a day in a car.

  • Pop fitness trends also make us stiff. Practices like CrossFit will get you in great shape, but they make you stiff. As people flock to these fitness trends, they need help to balance strength with mobility.

  • People are living longer. The world’s population is aging fast and people are living longer than ever before, and want to move like they did in their younger years.

My Approach to Stretching

I’m a Certified YOGABODY® Stretch Coach and use classic yoga poses informed by modern science for a safe and pragmatic approach to increasing your range of motion at any age.

 

There are hundreds of stretching books and mobility routines available, but most don’t work. The stretches feel great, but they don’t change your range of motion.

The Stretching for Mobility sessions, based on the Science of Stretching® approach, uses best practices from published exercise physiology research combined with time-tested protocols from yoga, dance, martial arts, and gymnastics to provide a solution that delivers predictable results. 

This system is taught to students of all levels, including complete beginners and students with injuries. My goal is to help you to re-establish your basic range of motion (BROM) not to learn contortion poses.
